Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

Bedridden with nothing to do, is how it turns out when you’re down with a broken leg. The most affected by this is the ability to walk and the best you can manage to walk then is with the assistance of the crutches. To address the issue of inconvenience that the individuals confront, FWD Mobility has revealed the Freedom Leg. As the name very clearly states, this very prosthetic-like leg can be strapped to the thigh of the injured leg, letting the ailing person to walk more independently without the crutches of course. The Freedom leg is more like a leg mounted crutch which has angled composite bars on the sides. These bars function as the leg itself, taking on them the entire body weight. The bars are joined from the bottom; the bridge that joins acts as the foot letting the person walk freely using both his hands for other chores, which were previously occupied in holding the crutches. Made in lightweight composite material the Freedom leg weighs only 2.5 pounds, frankly speaking that isn’t much weight addition to the injured leg, and is therefore easy to use and comfortable. In addition to being an aid to walk, the Freedom Leg also keeps the upper leg muscles toned, therefore with its use the user can to an extent be spared of the rigorous rehabilitation process when the broken leg is fixed. Freedom Leg isn't yet available, but it is expected to cost $350 when released, sounds relatively high, but I thinks its work the utility.
