Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

 A stroke can cause significant dysfunction of the upper limb, severely affecting performance in everyday occupations. The task-oriented approach is grounded in occupational therapy principles and emphasizes the use of meaningful occupations to promote functional recovery. This review examines the effectiveness of the task oriented approach during occupational therapy rehabilitation of the upper extremity following stroke. A comprehensive search was conducted on English-language literature published between 2018 and 2023, utilizing the databases Medline, Scopus and Google Scholar, as a supplementary source. Following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, an intensive screening process led to the inclusion of 16 relevant articles in this review. The methodological quality of the studies was assessed using the PEDro Scale. A narrative synthesis was conducted to summarize and interpret the findings of the included studies, which consisted of controlled trials examining the effectiveness of task-oriented interventions delivered alone or in combination with other rehabilitative approaches. (c) mirror therapy, (d) Botulinum Toxin injections, and (e) other therapeutic techniques. Findings indicate that these interventions effectively enhance(NOT GOOD ENOUGH! Survivors want 100% recovery! Why are you failing them? You're totally fucking incompetent?) motor function, self-perceived arm use, and performance in activities of daily living. Integrating task-oriented therapy with the aforementioned therapeutic techniques is effective in managing the hemiplegic upper extremity after stroke. This review supports the implementation of the task-oriented approach in upper limb stroke rehabilitation, either alone or combined with other approaches. Nevertheless, due to the high heterogeneity of the task-oriented interventions studied, further research is required to comprehensively assess their efficacy in upper limb rehabilitation.
