Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

TVRH Rehabilitation Hospital earns prestigious 3-year accreditation

SO FUCKING WHAT? 'Care' NOT RESULTS Do stroke hospitals think we are that fucking stupid that we don't notice that this tells us nothing about the quality of their stroke department? Not even outcome measures, just measuring compliance to standards.

The Villages Regional Hospital Rehabilitation Hospital has been recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
The 30-bed facility, located on the fifth floor of The Villages Regional Hospital’s North Tower, received a three-year accreditation. The recognition represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to a rehabilitation center.
“Accreditation provides our patients and the community the assurance that we meet high standards for patient care,” said Delaine Guitian, director of rehabilitation services. “We are proud to achieve this level of accreditation and will continue to strive to meet and exceed the healthcare standards set by CARF as we provide integrated and compassionate care to our patients.”
CARF’s on-site survey summary unveiled many of the rehabilitation hospital’s strengths, including the leadership team’s dedication and the staff’s caring demeanor, according the agency’s executive summary.
“It is evident that comprehensive, well-organized rehabilitation programs are provided and delivered by competent, dedicated and caring staff members. The organization has passionate leadership,” the summary said, adding, “Patients reported high levels of satisfaction with services received and the caring nature of personnel.”
TVRH Rehabilitation Hospital has been providing comprehensive care since July 2016. The facility provides care for those suffering from some type of dysfunction from recent illness or conditions, such as but not limited to: stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation, brain injury and neurological disorders.
“It is important for patients to know that they can request to come here,” Guitian said. “While there are a number of options that may be provided by a patient’s doctor and/or case manager, the patient has the ultimate choice. At TVRH Rehabilitation Hospital, you’ll find a quicker and more comfortable path to recovery.”
CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
TVRH includes a 307-bed acute care hospital that has more than tripled in size since opening in 2002 as a 60-bed facility. The American College of Cardiology recently recognized the facility for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain by awarding a Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primacy PCI and Resuscitation – its highest and best level of accreditation. The hospital, which is accessible by golf cart, also offers advanced orthopedic care at its dedicated inpatient Joint Institute, robotic surgery, neurosurgery, stroke care and inpatient acute rehabilitation.
