Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there. Did your doctor somehow miss the recovery protocol that Pedro Bach-y-Rita used to recover fully back in 1958 with only a partial brain?

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

How To Open Up People’s Minds to Change

We'll have to study these because we need to change thousands of stroke  medical peoples minds and we can't have them throw up defenses immediately because our brains are at risk if we don't succeed.
We need them to:
1. create a list of all the problems in stroke.
2. Create a strategy to solve those problems.
3. Execute that strategy.
4. Take responsibility for solving these problems.
5. Become visionaries rather than old demented mice

The 18 Habits of Highly Creative People

If we are going to solve the stroke medical problem WE are going to have to be incredibly creative. Does your doctor fall into these categories at all? Is your doctor a visionary or a demented old mouse?

The 18 Habits of Highly Creative People

While there’s no “typical” creative type, there are some tell-tale characteristics and behaviors of highly creative people. Here are 18 things they do differently.

1.  They daydream.

2. They observe everything.

3.  They work the hours that work for them.

4.  They take time for solitude.

5.  They turn life’s obstacles around.

6.  They seek out new experiences.

7.  They “fail up.”

8.  They ask the big questions.

9.  They people-watch.

10.  They take risks.

11.  They view all of life as an opportunity for self-expression.

12.  They follow their true passions.

13.  They get out of their own heads.

14.  They lose track of the time.

Are you a visionary or caretaker? NSA - Matt Lopez

The subject of an email I sent to Matt Lopez, president of the National Stroke Association. He didn't respond to the direct question but I did get a non-committal reply. For your edification you can email him at mlopez@stroke.org - The standard way email seems to be formatted at the NSA is first initial last name@stroke.org in case you want to send emails to any of the staff there. I haven't figured out yet how to contact the board of directors. Sending email to info@stroke.org never got a response.
If he truly was a visionary he already would have contacted dozens of survivors for their input.
