Professor Feigin is Professor of Neurology and Epidemiology and the Director of the National Institute for Stroke and Applied Neurosciences, Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand, and Affiliate Professor of the University of Washington, USA. He is also Honorary Professor of the Novosibirsk State Medical University, Russia, a Visiting Professor of the Capital Medical University of China, a Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand, American Academy of Neurology, and Russian Academy of Sciences.

Professor Gary Ford is Professor of Stroke Medicine at Oxford University, Consultant Stroke Physician at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Chief Executive Officer of Oxford Academic Health Science Network. He has been involved in many service innovations in UK stroke care in the last 20 years including developing the first rapid ambulance and thrombolysis protocols for acute stroke in England and the Face Arm Speech Test (FAST). Gary was Director of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Stroke Research Network from 2005-2014. He was awarded a CBE in 2013 for services to research in stroke medicine. In 2018 Gary was identified as one of seven NIHR research legends whose work has transformed care in the NHS.
Bo Norrving

Bo Norrving is senior professor in neurology at Lund University, Sweden. He has published over 550 scientific articles and several books. His research activities have focused on clinical trials, stroke epidemiology, small vessel disease, clinical genetics, and organisation of stroke services. He was corresponding author of the Swedish Aspirin Low-Dose Trial (SALT) published in 1991, and he has contributed to a large number of other pivotal clinical trials. He chaired the steering committee of SIFAP, the world’s largest study on stroke in the young. He is a founder of the Swedish Stroke Register the world’s 1stnational stroke registry. He is Editor-in-Chief of the European Stroke Journal. He chaired the ESO Action Plan for Stroke in Europe 2018 to 2030 working group. He chaired the working group on cerebrovascular diseases at WHO in the work on ICD-11. He was vice-president of the ESO 2008 to 2010.

Mayowa Ojo OWOLABI Dr.M, MD, FAAN, FRCP, FAS, FAcadMedS is Professor of Neurology, and Dean, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He is an expert in implementation science and translational genomic epidemiology of hypertension, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. Currently, he is the Principal Investigator of numerous internationally funded grants including the African Rigorous Innovative Stroke Epidemiological Surveillance (ARISES), and Systemic Investigation of Blacks with Stroke using genomics (SIBS-Genomics). He is Director, University of Ibadan Hub, African Research Universities Alliance, Center of Excellence for NCDs.
