Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

Maury Regional gets quality approval seal as Advanced Primary Stroke Center

This means absolutely nothing because it doesn't tell you a damn thing about recovery results. It just is conscience laundering for this stroke hospital, allows them to act like they are doing something without doing a damn thing useful for real 100% recovery.  Hope they don't have a stroke and are sent to their hospital because nothing in their hospital gives any indication that they get stroke survivors recovered.  They talk about care and a stroke support group which is a clear indication they don't know how to get you recovered.

Maury Regional gets quality approval seal as Advanced Primary Stroke Center

MAURY REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) recently earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Heart-Check mark for certification as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center. The Gold Seal of Approval® and the Heart-Check mark both represent symbols of quality from their respective organizations.
“This recognition highlights the exceptional stroke care we provide here at Maury Regional Medical Center,” said Maury Regional Health CEO Alan Watson. “I commend all our physicians and staff members, led by Chest Pain Center and Stroke Program Coordinator Brenda Bishop, for their demonstrated commitment to the quality and compassionate care that made this distinction possible.”
Maury Regional Medical Center underwent a rigorous onsite review in December 2018. Joint Commission experts evaluated compliance with stroke-related standards and requirements, including program management, delivery of clinical care and performance improvement.
“We congratulate Maury Regional Medical Center for achieving this designation,” said Nancy Brown, chief executive officer of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. “By adhering to this very specific set of treatment guidelines Maury Regional Medical Center has clearly made it a priority to deliver high-quality care to all patients affected by stroke.”
