Once again the NSA proves it doesn't know what would help survivors the most.
1. You stop the neuronal cascade of death resulting in much less disability.
2. For existing survivors you sponsor research into making neuroplasticity consistently repeatable on demand. Or you sponsor research that has neurogenesis helping the dead and damaged areas.
This press release crap is pretty worthless.
3. Don't wait for new research, Go out and sponsor research that will solve survivors problems.
This just completely proves once again
THAT YOU ARE WAITING FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM
LAZY BASTARDS!
This is all having someone else do the work. Doesn't the NSA do anything directly that will help survivors? Stroke groups do not count, that's compensating not recovery.

Dear dean,
Are you concerned about the
financial impacts of stroke? How about increasing access to medical
care? Or improving treatments available to survivors? If so, you’ll want
to participate in our fifth annual Virtual Lobby Days event! Throughout
the next three weeks, we’re asking members of the stroke community to
reach out to members of Congress and urge their support for legislation
that will improve the lives of stroke survivors and their families. If
you’re interested in any of the following issues, you’ll want to be
involved.
Why should you speak out? As a
constituent living and working in your legislators’ state or district,
your opinion can significantly impact the decisions he or she makes. Telling your story
and showing how stroke-related legislation directly impacts you and
your loved ones is one of the most effective ways to influence policy
change in Congress.
It should take no more than 10
to 15 minutes to send a message. When your message is combined with the
voices of other stroke survivors around the country, we have a real
opportunity to make an impact. Together, we can make a difference on
Capitol Hill.
Sincerely,
National Stroke Association advocacy staff We also follow legislative activities in your state capital. Visit our State Advocacy Action Center and find out what you can do for stroke in your state today! |
