Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

ESO welcomes the submission of proposals to support the selection of topics, chairs and speakers for the scientific and educational sessions for #ESOC2024!

Notice how unwelcoming they are to survivor speakers. Sent an email to them, I'm sure I'll be brushed off as not worth listening to.

ESO welcomes the submission of proposals to support the selection of topics, chairs and speakers for the scientific and educational sessions for #ESOC2024!

The European Stroke Organisation welcomes the submission of proposals to support the selection of topics, chairs and speakers for the scientific and educational sessions for the anniversary, the 10th European Stroke Conference (ESOC), which will be held on 15 – 17 May 2024 in Basel, Switzerland.

Be a part of this exciting event and share your perspectives and insights with a diverse and innovative audience. As in previous years, each proposal will be reviewed by the ESOC 2024 committees and will be used to create an interesting programme. This may include integrating and combining proposals, rather than using the proposals directly, and possibly not using some suggestions at all depending on space and priority. ESOC aims for a programme that is balanced for gender, geography, career stage and interests. We value all proposals from the stroke community from all corners of the globe, at every career stage and with diverse interests to help in achieving that objective.

We thank all proposers in advance and look forward to receiving your contributions.

Deadline for submission of session proposals:

Tuesday, 27 June 2023, 23:59 CEST

Please follow these criteria and procedures to help facilitate the process:

The submission form is brief, but structured. In addition to a title (up to 20 words), you can enter a session description (up to 200 words).

We kindly ask you to propose two chairs, and five speakers with suggested titles for their talks (up to 15 words) and ideally two alternative speakers (minimum information only required; speaker and chair approval is not required). Please note that at least 3 presentation titles must be entered, otherwise the proposal cannot be submitted. We kindly ask you to add a short comment to each speaker, why this speaker is suitable for the presentation.

Much of the information is optional – therefore, it is not necessary to submit a ‘fully formed proposal’ – ESO is happy to accept all ideas, whether partial or more detailed.

  • The duration of each session is usually 1.5 hours, including five talks, and – this is very important – time for questions and answers.
  • Please submit proposals through the online system. We cannot accept proposals by any other method (Note: Joint Society Proposals with ESO are handled separately – see below).
  • Please log in with your existing ESO account and choose ‘Session Submission’.
  • Sessions must be submitted in English. Please use UK English spelling.
  • We value diversity and inclusivity, so we encourage proposals that strive for a balance of male and female chairs and speakers, geographical representation, and various career stages. The submission form allows you to indicate if a speaker is “early career”. While you’re welcome to suggest yourself as a chair or speaker, please keep these points in mind. To assist with programme planning, please indicate which topic your proposal relates to.
