Prevention Recommendations for Alzheimer's Disease
- Minimize dietary saturated and trans fats
- Increase intake of vegetables, fruits, legumes and grains
- Daily vitamin E intake from foods of 15 mg
- Daily vitamin B12 in diet or supplement with blood B12 level monitoring
- Daily multivitamins not recommended but if used avoid those with iron and copper
- Aluminum link to AD is controversial but avoid antacids and baking soda that contains aluminum
- Aerobic exercise of 40 minutes at least 3 times per week
