Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

Stroke: Study findings show that making five healthy choices can cut your risk of stroke by 60%.

Aren't you glad it has dropped down to 60% preventable instead of the 80% preventable? The stroke medical world has to go down this prevention route because of COMPLETE FAILURE IN GETTING TO 100% RECOVERY by any medical or therapy interventions.  So don't have a stroke or you will be screwed,

A STROKE is a life-threatening medical condition that occurs when part of the brain’s blood supply is cut off.

There are approximately 1.3 million stroke survivors in the United Kingdom, and your symptoms will vary depending on which part of your brain was affected and how severe the damage was.

According to the Stroke Association, a stroke occurs every five minutes in the United Kingdom; however, the sooner a person receives treatment for a stroke, the less damage is likely to occur.

If you or someone else thinks they’re having a stroke, dial 999 and request an ambulance right away.

According to research published in the BMJ, “lifestyle is much more important than most physicians believe.”

It points out that poor lifestyle choices accounted for more than half of strokes in the USlHealth Professionals study and the Nurses’ Health Study.

“Participants who achieved all five healthy lifestyle choices—not smoking, moderate alcohol consumption, a BMI of andlt;25, daily exercise for 30 minutes, and a healthy diet score in the top 40%—had an 80% reduction in stroke compared to those who did not.”

“Knowing your stroke risk factors, following your doctor’s recommendations, and adopting a healthy lifestyle,” according to the Mayo Clinic, are the best ways to avoid a stroke.

There are measures that can help prevent another stroke if you’ve had a stroke or a transient ischemic attack, according to the health site.

It also mentions that “the follow-up care you receive in the hospital and afterward may play a role.”

Controlling high blood pressure is a general healthy lifestyle recommendation, and healthy lifestyle changes and medications are frequently used to treat high blood pressure.

Anxiety, depression, and high stress levels are all risk factors, according to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).

“Working long hours and having little contact with friends, family, or others outside the home are also linked to a higher risk of stroke,” the report continues.

Unhealthy lifestyle habits, such as eating unhealthy foods, not getting enough physical activity, drinking alcohol, and using illegal drugs like cocaine, are all risk factors.

A stroke’s signs and symptoms vary from person to person, but they usually start suddenly.
