Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

Does nobody understand stroke pathology and the Circle of Willis? A blocked carotid artery does not cause a stroke directly.

New Innovation of Early Detected Ischemic Stroke Device Reach to Community invented by Watchara Kaewmahanin, a lecturer at Biomedical Research Unit in Cardiovascular Sciences of Faculty of Allied Health Sciences at Naresuan University won a special prize on stage and Geneva bronze prize at the 41st International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva.

Inventors from 45 countries across the world presented their inventions at the exhibition.

It was held between April 10-14 in Switzerland and Watchara was presented with the awards on April 12.

Previously, the device won the best invention award given at Inventor's Day, which is annual national event.

Ischemic stroke has killed and impaired many Thai people due to late detection of the disease, which can lead to damage in patients' brains.

The device can check constrictions of a patient's carotid artery, which carries blood to the brain. It can also evaluate risks of the disease, using the National Stroke Association Risk score, which is accepted internationally.

So, the Ischemic stroke risk evaluation and protection are conducted effectively, conveniently, quickly and cheaply. Its effectiveness and safety are equal to standard devices costing Bt2-3 million each that are used at big hospitals.

The innovation costs only Bt50,000-Bt70,000. It is light, portable and easy to use. It can evaluate and show the evaluation results quickly. Thus, the device helps ease a problem of medical specialist shortage as it shows the results that are easy to understand for medical workers at smaller hospitals. With the device, they can help people to a check at their home.
