Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

UK cuts hit anti-killer diseases fight

Coming soon to the US and the rest of the world.

We better take over all the stroke associations(WSO especially) now if we expect to make any progress in the fight against neuronal death and stroke recovery.
This is just the logical progression of libertarian  policies. Screw you, you are completely on your own, figure out your own recovery.

British health charities and doctors have raised concerns about the planned reduction in the number of teams of medical experts saying it will affect fight against killer diseases in the country.

Hundreds of cancer, heart, and stroke specialists risk being made redundant as a result of the new NHS commissioning board’s decision to reduce the number of clinical networks.

The board has decided to cut the 28 combined heart and stroke networks to 12 and follow suit on the 28 cancer networks, The Guardian reported.

Reports said cancer, heart diseases and strokes account for six in ten of all deaths in Britain.

"Heart and stroke networks will be severely reduced in size and number and therefore much less able to do some of the things they've been doing previously to improve care for the 100,000 people a year in England who have a stroke," the NHS's stroke director for London Tony Rudd said.

“I'm very concerned about the current plans. It would be a tragedy if we started losing things we have already gained”, he added.

The number of staffs working for 56 networks may be cut to fewer than 100. Specialists fear such downsizing would affect patient care throughout their treatment and recovery.
