Deans' stroke musings

Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain!Just think of all the trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 493 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.
My back ground story is here:

Interesting idea, bet you aren't getting this from your therapists. To make this better a smartphone app should be added that can call the unit to roll itself over to where you are located.

Human Floor Lift (HFL-300)

Product Code: Ind-300 Category: Products
The Human Floor Lift (HFL-300)

The HFL-300 is designed to help people in their homes get up from the floor without outside assistance.

A person living alone, places the HFL in a central location in the home and instead of scooting or crawling to the phone to call for assistance they go to the HFL, slide on, push the button and less than a minute later they are up from the floor without any outside assistance allowing them to get right on with their day without having to call family, neighbors or emergency services personnel.

A companion can roll the HFL right to the location of the fall.  The HFL-300 is similar to a household vacuum to move around, the smallest individual can assist anyone up to 300 pounds from the floor. One party can assist any other party by rolling the unit to the fallen person and assist in getting the person up without injury to either person.

The HFL-300 is a purpose-built appliance designed to allow mobility challenged individuals greater independence by turning a very difficult and dangerous situation into a non-event and allowing them to continue their day after a fall without calling on family, friends, neighbors or emergency services personnel just to get up from the floor while suffering the indignity and pain associated with recovering from falls without the IndeeLift!

The HFL truly helps mobility challenged individuals regain and maintain their independence, privacy and dignity by allowing them to get up from the floor without outside assistance.
