Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

Walking in Spain

In our group of friends a lot of walking is required on vacations. Floors just refers to 10 foot gains in elevation.
March 17 - 5728 steps, 2.74 miles, 2 floors, flying most of the day.
March 18 - 16,781 steps, 8.03 miles, 74 floors, took train to Avila, walked around.
March 19 - 22,091 steps, 10.57 miles, 37 floors, Madrid
March 20 - 16,786 steps, 8.03 miles, 55 floors, Madrid
March 21 - 23,102 steps, 11.05 miles, 30 floors, Madrid
March 22 - 20,867 steps, 9.99 miles, 38 floors,Madrid,
March 23 - 21,188 steps, 10.13 miles, 46 floors, Temple of Debod, Thyssen museum, snow and hail
March 24 - 13,260 steps, 6.34 miles, 63 floors, To hanging houses of Cuenca, on to Valencia
March 25 - 31,078 steps, 14.87 miles, 11 floors, Valencia
March 26 - 3843 steps, 1.84 miles, 5 floors, travel to Granada
March 27 - 24,663 steps, 11.8 miles, 47 floors, Granada, walking around Alhambra
March 28 - 11,111 steps, 5.32 miles, 15 floors, to Seville
March 29 - 21,059 steps, 10.08 miles, 25 floors, Seville
March 30 - 5693 steps, 2.72 miles, 13 floors,to Priego De Cordoba
March 31 - 15,525 steps, 7.43 miles, 85 floors, windmills in Consuegra and on to Toledo
April 1 - 16,104 steps, 7.71 miles, 60 floors, Toledo
April 2 - 9695 steps, 4.64 miles, 3 floors, flights back, Madrid to Toronto to Windsor
Totals - 278,574 steps,  124.29 miles, 609 floors.
