Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

Stroke Winter School - European Stroke Organisation

How do I find out and contact the World Top Shots in Stroke Medicine?

I want to know from them specifically how to 100% recover from any stroke. Shouldn't they know the answer? Or at the very least have a strategy in place to get there? If neither they aren't World Top Shots.

Oops, I'm not playing by the polite rules of Dale Carnegie,  'How to Win Friends and Influence People'.

Politeness will never solve anything in stroke. Yes, I'm a bomb thrower and proud of it. Someday a stroke 'leader' will ream me out for making them look bad by being truthful , I look forward to that day.

Stroke Winter School    - European Stroke Organisation

Due to the currently unpredictable situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic the organizational committee has decided to hold the 8th ESO-ESMINT-ESNR Stroke Winter School 2021 (www.strokewinterschool.com) as an exclusively virtual teaching course. The 8th ESO-ESMINT-ESNR Stroke Winter School will be held from 2nd–4th February 2021 at the University Hospital Bern, Inselspital Bern, Switzerland. The virtual version of Stroke Winter School 2021 will still be endorsed by the European Stroke Organisation (ESO), the European Society of Minimal Invasive Neurological Therapy (ESMINT) and European Society of Neuroradiology (ESNR).

The daily lecturing and teaching program by national and international experts in all subspecialties of acute stroke treatment will be held in a digital and virtual format. We already established an web-based online teaching platform at the Neurocenter of the University Hospital Inselspital Bern (www.neuronews.ch).
In analogy we are on the way to build up a new platform for the Stroke Winter School 2021 with several new additional and innovative features. With this new interactive platform we will not only be able to stream lectures from specialists from all over the world, but will also include live interactive tutorials, live case discussions, virtual stroke workflow simulations and an online library. The platform will offer the participants to discuss hot topics right on the way and to stay in contact with the World Top Shots in Stroke Medicine. The sponsoring industry will be represented within the platform and participants and industry will be able to get in contact at any time!

Applicants will be selected based on their CV and motivation (registration via website). Selected candidates will need to confirm that they will participate at the course. The fee for this years course will be reduced to 100 Euro.
