Big fucking whoopee.
But you tell us NOTHING ABOUT RESULTS.
They remind us they 'care' about us multiple times but never tell us
how many 100% recovered. You have to ask yourself why they are hiding
their incompetency by not disclosing recovery results. ARE THEY THAT FUCKING BAD?
Three measurements will tell me if the stroke hospital is possibly not
completely incompetent; DO YOU MEASURE ANYTHING? I would start cleaning
the hospital by firing the board of directors, you can't let
incompetency continue for years at a time.
There is no quality here if you don't measure the right things.
-
tPA full recovery? Better than 12%?
-
30 day deaths? Better than competitors?
rehab full recovery? Better than 10%?
rehab full recovery? Better than 10%?
You'll want to know results so call that hospital president(Whoever that is) RESULTS are; tPA efficacy, 30 day deaths, 100% recovery. Because there is no point in going to that hospital if they are not willing to publish results.
The latest invalid chest thumping here:
Good Samaritan Medical Center(West Palm Beach, FL) is a Healthgrades Five-Star Recipient for Stroke Care
Good Samaritan Medical Center is 5-star rated for Stroke outcomes
according to new research released by Healthgrades, a leading resource
connecting consumers, physicians and health systems. Every year,
Healthgrades evaluates hospital performance at nearly 4,500 hospitals
nationwide for 32 of the most common inpatient procedures and conditions
using Medicare data, and additional analyzes outcomes in appendectomy
and bariatric surgery using all-payer data provided by 16 states.
This analysis shows that patients treated at hospitals receiving a
5-star rating have a lower risk of dying and a lower risk of
experiencing one or more complications during a hospital stay than if
they were treated at hospitals receiving a 1-star rating in that
procedure or condition. From 2017 through 2019, if all hospitals as a
group performed similarly to hospitals receiving 5-stars as a group, on
average, 218,785 lives could potentially have been saved and
complications in 148,681 patients could potentially have been avoided.*
From 2017-2019, patients treated for Stroke in hospitals with
5-stars for 30-day mortality have, on average a 46.3% lower risk of
dying than if they were treated in hospitals with 1-star for 30-day
mortality.*
“Hospital quality has never been more important, and consumers are
becoming more aware of the importance of researching where they receive
care before they visit a hospital for a specific procedure or
condition,” said Brad Bowman, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Healthgrades.
“Hospitals that receive a Healthgrades 5-star rating for Stroke
demonstrate exceptional outcomes and their ability to provide quality
care for patients.”
“This achievement is the direct result of our entire team’s
relentless focus on providing high-quality neurology services to our
community,” said Sheri Montgomery, CEO of Good Samaritan Medical Center.
“If you or a loved one are experiencing signs or symptoms of a stroke,
we want to remind you that the longer you wait the more long-term damage
you can cause to your brain, so seek medical treatment immediately.”
Good Samaritan Medical Center was also recognized for the following clinical achievements:
• Five-Star Recipient for Colorectal Surgeries for 2 Years in a Row (2020-2021)
• Recipient of the Healthgrades Labor and Delivery Excellence Award™ for 3 Years in a Row (2018-2020)
For its analysis, Healthgrades evaluated approximately 45 million
Medicare inpatient records for nearly 4,500 short-term acute care
hospitals nationwide to assess hospital performance in 32 common
conditions and procedures, and evaluated outcomes in appendectomy and
bariatric surgery using all-payer data provided by 16 states.
Healthgrades recognizes a hospital’s quality achievements for
cohort-specific performance, specialty area performance, and overall
clinical quality. Individual procedure or condition cohorts are
designated as 5-star (statistically significantly better than expected),
3-star (not statistically different from expected) and 1-star
(statistically significantly worse than expected).
