Is this what your stroke doctor and hospital are doing? Ask them that specific question. Do they even know they are incompetent? Incompetent at knowing their incompetence? The Dunning-Kruger effect is on full display with them?

The Dunning-Kruger Effect: Why The Incompetent Don’t Know They’re Incompetent
Apply this to our neurologists whom students already think are full of themselves.
And how do hospitals think about their competence? Probably very well since they give no factual data out like 30-day deaths or 100% full recovery statistics.
For me there are lots of things I don't know thats why we need hundreds of clinical trials to find out the answers on preventing the neuronal cascade of death.
I bet you could get kicked out of your hospital if you suggested such a thing even during the first days of your stroke. I plan of seeing how many doctors I have a screaming match with after my next stroke.

The reason seems to be that poor performers fail to learn from their mistakes.
The proposed solution is that the incompetent should be directly told they are incompetent.
