Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

Risks of ischaemic heart disease and stroke in meat eaters, fish eaters, and vegetarians over 18 years of follow-up: Results from the prospective EPIC-Oxford study

You might want to have your doctor read and analyze the book, 'Proteinaholic: How Our Obsession with Meat Is Killing Us and What We Can Do About It' by  Garth Davis, M.D. and Howard Jacobson.  Your doctor needs to provide you with diet protocols for all these conditions:

For stroke prevention; for dementia prevention; for cognitive improvement; for cholesterol reduction; for plaque removal; for Parkinsons prevention; for inflammation reduction; for blood pressure reduction.

THIS IS YOUR DOCTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY! Why are you giving them a pass? Guidelines don't count.

Risks of ischaemic heart disease and stroke in meat eaters, fish eaters, and vegetarians over 18 years of follow-up: Results from the prospective EPIC-Oxford study

BMJTong TYN, Appleby PN, Bradbury KE, et al. | September 09, 2019

People with distinct dietary habits—meat eaters, fish eaters, and vegetarians (including vegans)—were examined in this study for the risks of both incident ischemic heart disease and stroke. In addition, researchers performed a separate assessment of ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, over 18 years of follow-up. Among nearly 48,200 participants with no history of ischemic heart disease, stroke, or angina (or cardiovascular disease), 2,820 cases of ischemic heart disease and 1,072 cases of total stroke (519 ischemic stroke and 300 hemorrhagic stroke) were recorded over 18.1 years of follow-up. Overall, the incidence of ischemic heart disease was lower among fish eaters and vegetarians vs meat-eaters; however, higher rates of hemorrhagic and total stroke were observed among vegetarians.
