Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

Evaluation of a Treatment Concept in Neurological Patients after Stroke Undergoing Rehabilitation (phase D): A Study Protocol of a Multi-center Trial

I can't tell if they measured 100% recovery, so ask your doctor to find out how close they came to 100% recovery.

Abstract:

This article presents the evaluation of a new modular treatment concept in stroke patients undergoing rehabilitation, developed by the Department of Health Care Research and Rehabilitation Research of the University Hospital Freiburg and carried out by the Institute for Rehabilitation Medical Research at the University of Ulm. The evaluation took place within the framework of a controlled multicenter study. Phase D stroke patients were included in the study. Recruitment was carried out in 14 neurological rehabilitation facilities in Baden-Württemberg. In three institutions, only cases for the intervention group were recruited, and in six centers, only cases for the control group. In five other rehabilitation facilities, the therapy regime changed from clinic-specific treatment concepts to the new treatment concept. In these centers, patients who had been treated according to the previous clinic-specific treatment concepts before the introduction of the new treatment concept were included in the control group. After implementation of the new treatment concept, patients were recruited for the intervention group. The primary objectives of the group comparison were the treatment outcomes, i.e., functional and cognitive performance as well as the ability to perform activities of daily living. The assessment battery was developed together with an expert advisory board from the rehabilitation facilities. The study protocol describes the methodology in the course of the scientific monitoring of the model project. The practical approach was well received by the rehabilitation facilities. The recruitment of the historical control group in the rehabilitation facilities implementing the new treatment concept was completed in March 2018. A total of 122 patients were included.
