This is the whole problem in stroke enumerated in one word; 'care'; NOT RECOVERY!
YOU have to get involved and change this failure mindset of 'care' to 100% RECOVERY! Survivors want RECOVERY, NOT 'CARE'!
Which is why survivors need to be in charge! Stroke medical 'professionals' HAVE COMPLETELY FAILED AT THEIR JOB OF GETTING SURVIVORS RECOVERED! You can't let incompetence continue forever since they don't know what the fuck needs to be done to get survivors recovered!
They are doing NOTHING TO GET SURVIVORS TO 100% RECOVERY!
Why it’s time we invested in stroke care
- Stroke care(NOT RECOVERY!) investment advances both human well-being and economic stability.
- Timely treatment options can prevent lifelong disability and reduce healthcare costs.
- Collaborative national planning ensures everyone benefits from modern stroke therapies.
Every three seconds, someone in the world suffers a stroke* – a condition that can rob individuals of their independence, health, income and future. Yet with timely care(NOT RECOVERY!), many strokes are not just survivable but treatable. With the combined annual direct and indirect cost of stroke currently estimated to be in excess of $891 billion, investing in stroke care(NOT RECOVERY!) is not just a healthcare necessity – it is an economic and societal imperative. The emotional and quality-of-life benefits to patients and their loved ones are immeasurable.
As we race to meet the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3.4 of reducing by one-third premature mortality from non-communicable diseases (NCDs) by 2030, investment in the infrastructure and human resources needed to treat stroke is the single biggest action we can make towards that goal. Heart disease and stroke are the two most common NCDs and while massive investment has already gone into treating heart disease, access to the latest treatments for stroke remains severely limited in most parts of the world.**
In many geographies it is virtually non-existent.
