Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

Stroke is potentially preventable: World Stroke Organization

What a piece of shit. All the WSO has to do is put out a press release and their work for the year is done.  As compared to survivors who have to work incredibly hard every day for the rest of their lives. I'm mad as hell and won't take it anymore.

World Stroke Day (WSD), observed on October 29, is meant to raise awareness about the serious nature of stroke; its prevention and treatment as well as ensuring a better care and support for survivors.

WSD was established in 2006 by the World Stroke Organization (WSO) that coordinates campaigns for advocacy, policy, and outreach to mobilize better support for health care for stroke victims. It is said that Stroke is the forth leading cause of death. The more common is ischemic stroke, which is caused by a blood clot in the brain.
According to Vladimir Hachinski, associated with WSO, stroke and potentially preventable dementias are the leading causes of serious disability, sparing no age, sex, ethnic origin, or country. According to medical science, strokes happen when blood flow to the brain stops making brain cells with in a few minute. Therefore stroke is said to be a case of medical emergency.
A healthly and stress-free life style is recommended to reduce the risk of stroke. Doctors hold that atrial fibrillation, a form of irregular heartbeat, can also cause clots to form in the heart that later travel to the brain, producing a stroke. Therefore, a trial fibrillation should be taken seriously and doctor should be consulted.

To get some relief from the atrial fibrillation, blood thinners like aspirin or warfarin are recommended to reduce your stroke risk, but do consult your doctor who can treat in time.
With the advances in nano-technology, the ethical issues related to its use medicines are being debated about. The need is being expressed about the development and monitoring of a responsible nanotechnology.
