Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

NCA heroes promote Stroke Awareness Month

Yep, as long as you're promoting awareness that everything in stroke is a failed shitshow!

tPA full recovery? Only 12%!

rehab full recovery? Only 10%!

No stroke protocols for any rehab!

Nothing being done to save million/billions of neurons during the neuronal cascade of death in the first week!

I don't need to hear any lies about this meme from World Stroke Day a couple of years ago.

What a lying piece of shit.

NCA heroes promote Stroke Awareness Month

POLOKWANE – Heroes do not always wear capes like Batman, Superman and Spiderman, and they do not always live in fairy tales.

Sometimes a hero is an ordinary person doing his daily job beyond what is expected.

Staff at Northview Christian Academy recently taught learners about heroism and what they can do to be a hero.

“We kicked off Stroke Awareness Month by teaming up with Fast Heroes and the Angels initiative. This initiative is endorsed by the World Stroke Organization,” said Candice Janse van Rensburg, vice-principal at NCA.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), one in four people will experience a stroke in their lifetime.

With a programme that was developed by the Department of Education of the University of Macedonia, supported by the Angels Initiative, the learners will learn more about strokes, the signs and who to call in case of emergency.

They will embark on a thrilling adventure alongside retired superheroes, who will guide them every step of the way.

The retired Fast Heroes are Franc the Face, Armando the Arms and Sophia the Singer. They each have a superpower to help children remember the most common signs of a stroke and the number to call an ambulance.

All superheroes have a villain and this time the villain’s name is The Clot.

Franc the Face teaches children to notice a drooping face as one of the first signs of a stroke. Armando the Arms’s superpower is strength, but he may lose this power if a clot strikes him. Lastly, Sophia the singer has a voice like an angel, but even this can be affected by a stroke.

NCA is the first school in Polokwane and Limpopo to run the programme.
